Adventure day 3
Here at Popham Athletics, we are getting ready for our adventure off site trip to Allachee Nature center in Gainesville Ga. The kids are packed in the van. Off we go!!
We arrive to a beautiful wooded area away from the sounds and sites of the city to explore the world of nature and history. We head to the pavilion to eat lunch(YAY) and then head to the museum.
The amazing part is finding artifacts that are over hundreds of years old and knowing behind every object is a story. From sea lizards to the native Americans, there is enough history to keep anyone interested for many hours.
Off to the animal room!
The animal room houses several different creatures from snakes to turtles to toads. Of course the best part is having a staring contest with one of the turtles looking through the glass! From here its on to the hike!!
Now that we are actually doing some exercise, the kids are really complaining(gosh, a little work won’t kill you). I want to go back!!! I want to go back!!!! I have to use the bathroom!! Okay now that we got that out of the way, we are heading down the trail, going down hill knowing that eventually we are going to have to go back uphill, but it’s good exercise, nonetheless. The nature is pleasant, it’s peaceful, quiet, and overcast, it’s defiantly a good day to walk on a hike! Oh wait! We found a pond! Here we go! Now the kids are walking through the water getting wet. Little do they know, try wont be able to get back into the van wet. Oh well, I guess we will leave them here (just kidding). Now back up to the top and into the last stop, the gift shop. Cha Ching!!
Now headed back from our trip, we reflect on everything we learned, and everything we saw. As day 3 comes to an end, we look forward to the next day! See you next time.
